I often paint on the Carroll Street Bridge and the Smith Street Overpass, which has a rural, small town feeling, and offers an entirely different visual experience every time you move an inch.

I have painted more than 20 paintings of the Gowanus Canal, all sizes and shapes, and I haven't nearly exhausted the scene.

I like to think of how many times Cezanne painted Mount Victoire, changing positions ever so slightly and painting a new work each time.
