The Nude in Art is an age old subject in painting that has fascinated and obsessed artists and painters since the beginning of time.

Lois Fisher has been influenced by artists like Monet, Corot, and Sisley because of their beautiful light effects and their colors which are rich but not strident Fisher describes oil paint as a wonderfully versatile medium. It has a buttery texture that can be used for impasto brush work or diluted for delicately transparent effects whatever the expressive purpose is.
