Momentary Effects - An Endless Source of Inspiration
I paint in the impressionists' style. The momentary effects of light and color and form are an endless source of inspiration to me.
Paintings can be admired for their realism. But they can also be admired for their emotional impact, for their design and subtlety of modeling, even for their non-objective relation of forms.
|I do start with a verbal idea, however, pursued verbally does take time to unfold. In an artist's mind, no time is required. You experience it, and see it instantly as a visual image - else it remains a verbal idea, not a painting. I start to paint, and the communication part of my intention is a very real part.|
